Senior partner at Segens, Michael founded the practice in 1991 and is the driving force behind its continued success.

His main focus is on property and commercial matters and Michael has handled approximately £300million in development transactions in the past 12 months. He also represents the interests of a number of high net worth individuals both within the United Kingdom and from overseas, with associates in Moscow, Shanghai and Israel.

Michael’s extensive experience includes defending BERR and FSA prosecutions and investigations, and he has successfully won cases against some of the largest UK legal firms.

Martin Webster

Martin is head of commercial litigation and has over 25 years experience as a senior litigation manager. His previous experience includes City of London and national law firms, joining Segens in 2000 in order to build the practice alongside Michael Segen.

Martin additionally specialises in insolvency, insurance and compliance issues. In recent years he has developed a strong reputation for his work with high net worth and corporate clients handling group / key mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, including the AIM / PLUS market.

David Jason

property

With over 20 years experience dealing with all types of property transactions, David is a steady and reliable hand on the tiller. His clients value his attention to detail and his ability to respond quickly and effectively to their commercial and practical needs.

David’s clients include investors of all sizes from the single property to the largest transactions, insolvency practitioners, private high net worth individuals and medium sized companies. He is particularly knowledgeable about the needs of companies operating within the health sector such as opticians, pharmacies, dental practitioners and primary care services.

Brenda Alleyne

Brenda is a dynamic member of our growing property department and as well as providing day-to-day liaison with clients and advising on the ever more complex aspects of property law, she specialises in residential real estate for investors, developers and private clients. Brenda’s niche sector is entertainment industry licensing.

Timothy Milton

property

Timothy brings his substantial expertise to our property division. Over the past twenty years he has been involved with projects for some of the UK’s largest developers, particularly in the fields of Industrial and Office Leasing and Funding.

Timothy is accustomed to working on complex cases, especially those with difficult ownership or planning issues, site assembly for commercial and residential development.

Peter Felton Gerber

litigation

Peter merged Feltons, his London Dockland Law Practice with Segens in 2007.  Peter runs our busy and successful general litigation and dispute resolution functions, working closely with Martin Webster, Head of our Commercial Litigation, Insolvency and Financial Services Divisions on many of the more complex cases.

Peter’s background in general and commercial litigation, employment matters, intellectual property and corporate governance, including fraud and money laundering, fits perfectly with our current specialisations of insolvency, insurance, information technology and property.
